Heaven and earth are impartial; they see the 10,000 things as straw dogs. The sage is not sentimental; he treats all his people as straw dogs.
The sage is like heaven and earth: To him none are especially dear, nor is there anyone he disfavors. He gives and gives, without condition, offering his treasures to everyone.
Between heaven and earth is a space like a bellows; empty and inexhaustible, the more it is used, the more it produces.
Hold on to the center. Man was made to sit quietly and find the truth within.
~ Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life by Dr. Wayne Dyer
This one kind of stumped me this week and I am not sure why. I might be thinking too much. That’s what happens sometimes. Have you ever thought too much? Then you get so frustrated that you blow a gasket! I hate those times.
Just by ready this from a quick point of view, there is no favor here. Everyone gets treated the same, no racism, discrimination, or “put down’s”. Remember where we came from and get back to it. It’s stated in the last part of the verse, “Hold on to the center. Man was made to sit quietly and find the truth within.” How many of us have actually done this? Do we remember to do this? Are just making excuses of being too busy to do this so we don’t feel guilty for not doing this?
I am guilty of this the same as everyone else. I’ve made excuses many times and still continue to do the same today so I can procrastinate. I have to remember that verse in the bible that relates to the Tao here. “Be still and know that I am GOD!” ~ Psalms 46:10
Today, take time to be still, hold on to the center and find the truth from within.
